Founded in 2000, by amalgamating members of EAPIC ( 1979 ), they are an organisation facilitating valuable exchange of information,sharing common issues,developing business net working and platform for industry professionals from the petrochemical world. They have more than 1000 members.

The steering committee is made of CPMA India, JPCA Japan, KPIA Korea, MPA Malaysia, SCIC Singapore , PIAT Taiwan and FTIPC Thailand.
